Methody Collegians Choir 2026 🎶

The Methody Collegians Choir is back for 2026!

We’re bringing together former pupils, current and former staff, and current and former parents for a few weeks of singing, reconnecting and having a bit of fun — all building towards a Christmas performance.

We’re delighted that Elspeth Orr, Music Teacher at Methodist College and Class of 1998, will be our Choir Director. A former pupil herself, Elspeth knows the Methody musical tradition well and is looking forward to getting our returning singers back together and welcoming some new voices along the way.

Whether you’re an experienced singer, a shower singer, a former choir member or a complete beginner — we want you! There are no auditions and no pressure. 

Just bring your voice and your enthusiasm.

The Plan

We’ll start with a welcome drop-in session, followed by five rehearsals, culminating in a Christmas performance.

Welcome Drop-In - Tuesday 29 September

Rehearsal 1 — Monday 12 October
Rehearsal 2 — Tuesday 3 November
Rehearsal 3 — Tuesday 17 November
Rehearsal 4 — Monday 30 November
Rehearsal 5 — Monday 7 December

Christmas Performance
Tuesday 8 December — venue TBC (Chapel of Unity or Whitla Hall)

🕖 Time: 7.00pm–8.30pm
☕ 15-minute break: A chance to connect, catch up and socialise.
