You're Warmly Invited - Wine & Cheese Evening with Dr David Gallagher
Thursday 10 September - 7.30–9.30 pm in the Boardroom (NB venue change)
Join us for an engaging Q&A evening with Dr David Gallagher as he reflects on his remarkable journey - from pupil, teacher and Senior Vice Principal at Methodist College Belfast to participant in one of the most significant periods of modern peacemaking history.
While David will briefly share memories of his years at Methodist College, the evening will focus primarily on the stories behind the book and the extraordinary role played by members of the Methodist Church in helping to build dialogue and trust during the Northern Ireland peace process.
Through his personal recollections and historical reflection, he will explore meetings with political leaders, the challenges of reconciliation, and the often hidden contribution of faith communities to peacebuilding.
Whether your interests lie in history, politics, education, faith or peacebuilding, this promises to be an informative, thought-provoking and inspiring evening. Possibly you were taught by David at school or were part of some of the sixth form events that were initiated by, or in conjunction, with the school.
