Golf has long been a cherished pastime among the Collegians fraternity. While the society was formally established in 1950 as the Methodist College Old Boys Golfing Society, our collection of trophies dates back to the 1920s - a proud reminder of our deep golfing heritage.
In the early 2010s, we broadened our horizons and updated our name to the Collegians Golf Society, reflecting our inclusive approach and connection to the wider Collegians community.
Membership is open to anyone with a connection to the school - whether through Downey or Fullerton prep schools, Methodist College Belfast itself, or through sporting and social ties within the Collegians family. Everyone is welcome, and there is no joining fee.
Inclusiveness is at the heart of everything we do.
We have exciting plans to grow the society year on year and actively encourage female members to join and enjoy the camaraderie alongside their male colleagues, just as they did in school days. We also welcome younger members, especially recent school leavers.
